President’s Report

I would like to welcome all visitors to the information website of the Canadian Federation of Presbyteral Councils.

One goal of the Federation is to facilitate formation opportunities for the presbyterate of Canada. In the ever changing and challenging environment of the priest in ministry in Canada, we hope to host Assemblies where current or basic topics are covered and then make the presentations available to the bishops and priest, to the dioceses and the deaneries, of Canada.

Another Federation goal is to assist bishops and priests by sharing the ‘best practices’ found in our ministry. This sharing of the best practices comes when reports are shared at our Assembly and connections are made to local situations.

Yet another Federation goal is fraternal support. The opportunity to socialize is not just to make networking connections, but for the priest to feel the support from the presbyterate across Canada.
