The Holy Father has appointed as Auxiliary Bishop of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Toronto (Canada), Mons. Ivan Philip Camilleri, Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia in the same Archdiocese, assigning him the titular See of Teglata in Numidia. Curriculum vitae HE Mons. Ivan Philip Camilleri was born on April 18, 1969 in Malta and emigrated to Canada with his family at the age of 11. After two years at St. Thomas More Separate School in Mississauga (1980-1982) and secondary studies at Philip Pocock Catholic Secondary School (1982-1987), he attended Laurentian University in Sudbury (1987-1991) obtaining a Licentiate in Commerce. . He then moved to Scotland and enrolled at the University of Edinburgh Business School , where he earned his Masters in Business Administration (1991-1993). Later he attended professional refresher courses in the management field. After working from 1993 to 2000 at Bell Canada Enterprises , he held managerial positions at Marconi Canada Inc. In 2001 he entered St. Augustine's Seminary of Toronto. On 12 May 2007 he was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Toronto. He then served as Parish Vicar for two years in the Merciful Redeemer Parish of Mississauga. Later, in 2011 he enrolled in the School of Canon Law and obtained a Licentiate in Canon Law (JCL) from the Catholic University of America in Washington (USA). He began ministerial service as Vice-Chancellor of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Toronto and Defender of the Bond, becoming Chancellor in 2012 and Vicar General and Moderator of the Archdiocesan Curia in 2013.
The Holy Father has appointed as auxiliary of the diocese of Hamilton, Canada, the Reverend Wayne Lawrence Lobsinger, episcopal vicar for consecrated life and parish priest of Saint Thomas the Apostle, Waterdown, in the same diocese, assigning him the titular see of Gemellae in Numidia. Curriculum vitae Msgr. Wayne Lobsinger was born on 1 December 1966 in the region of Waterloo, Ontario. After his secondary studies, in 1985 he began his university studies in the faculty of Music of the Wilfrid Laurier University. After a year he entered the seminary where he was awarded a Master of Divinity. He was ordained a priest on 7 May 1994, and incardinated in the diocese of Hamilton, where he held the following offices: parish vicar and master of ceremonies; parish priest of Saint Anthony in Kincardine (2003-2005); parish priest of the Blessed Sacrament in Kitchener (2005-2012) and parish priest of Saint Thomas the Apostle in Waterdown. He has held the following diocesan offices: diocesan spiritual director of the Legion of Mary (1992-2016); deputy director and director of the Clergy Seminar Committee (2001-2004); chaplain of the Knights of Columbus in Kitchener (2005-2012); president of the presbyteral council (2011-2017); member of the Diocesan Personnel Board (2013-2016); and coordinator of the Good Leaders, Good Shepherds programme (2014). Until now he has served as member of the college of consulters and diocesan representative of the Canadian Federation of Presbyteral Councils (since 2011); spiritual director of Saint Peter’s Seminary, London, Ontario (since 2016); and episcopal vicar for consecrated life (since 2014).
