(CCCB – Ottawa)… His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI today accepted the resignation of His Eminence Jean-Claude Cardinal Turcotte and named the Most Reverend Christian Lépine as Archbishop of Montréal. At the time of his appointment, Bishop Lépine was Auxiliary Bishop of Montréal.

Cerar, Sister Maria Goretti, 89, a Sister of St. Martha of Antigonish, died at Bethany, the motherhouse of the Congregation, on Saturday, March 3, 2012. She was in the 51st year of her religious life.
